We have new home learning from the 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' resource kit. Thank you to you all for taking the time to do this with your children last fortnight. I have made a mental note that many kids say they feel a little bit funny talking on the phone so we will talk about this in class.
There is also 'special' home learning just for our class because some of the children said that the K.O.S wasn't very much. It's just looking at science experiments online and thinking about how you might conduct the investigation as a 'fair test'. No pressure to perform the experiment if you don't have the time or the resources, but it's still fun just to think about what you can do.
There is also spelling and basic facts.
It is essential that the spelling/basic fact notebooks are bought in on the Friday homework is due otherwise the children who forget will not be tested and will not receive new words and new basic facts.
UPDATE: The children in Room 15 now receive basic facts catered specifically to their own needs. So the basic facts your child brings home is chosen for them based on the data I have analysed in their test scores.

Home learning is going to be a little different next time, instead of the grid I will be handing out the homework activities from the 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' resource kit.
There will still be spelling and basic facts to practise.
It is essential that the spelling notebooks are bought in on the Friday homework is due otherwise the children who forget will not be tested and will not receive new words.
